Eric Lofstrom: Guestbook

I recently had the pleasure meeting you at the CWT's monthly meeting. Your demonstration of the turning of a translucent bowl was great. I was even more impressed by the amount of good information you were able to impart in the brief amount of time you had. During each step of the demo you were able to show and explain what you were doing while teaching all of the fundamentals needed to achieve the result. It is clear that you are passionate about what you do, have a great understanding of the craft and love to teach and engage the audience.

I attended your demos at Cascade Woodturners with my wife even she found it very informational and encouraged me to attend the all day demo at Dale's shop witch I did and enjoyed it very much. You have a great way of sharing your skills with people of all skill levels your students are lucky to have such a good teacher. Thank you

Nice to meet you this past weekend at the MCW meeting! A great demo!
Your attention to the edge and tool presentation on everything you turned is a foundation lesson I must continue to hone. I have occasionally compromised a design for want of the skill to make the cut. If I practice what you've taught this should be a thing of the past. I would heartily recommend your demo to novice and skilled artist alike. Please consider submitting your credentials to the AAW. for a future spot at the Symposium. Thanks again.

Excited for your pieces to be in Pioneer Square! Congratulations!

At one of your demos at Rockler, you demenstrated coring the inside of a bowl out using the technique of stepping rather than the traditional method. Since I started using this method, my turning has improved. Thanks for the tip, and keep up the good work.

WoW! Demos to web site to international appearances - way to go!

Thank you for the demo in Fife. I had no idea a skew could be used like that. I have been able to produce a few curls myself since then and have also decided I need to invest in a high quality skew. Thank you for taking the time to plan a curriculum that includes lessons for beginners all the way through very experienced turners.

I was truly impressed and enjoyed every minute of your recent instruction at our Mid-Columbia Woodturners meeting. Your striving for excellence in teaching shows in all you do. Thanks so much, you have renewed my enthusiasm for the "art" of wood turning. Thanks for it all, and the nice web site.

I'm so proud of you and what you've accomplished in just these past few years! You're not only a master woodturner, but a master teacher. When one gives away what they know, they receive even more in return.
Am really looking forward to spending the weekend with you at the all-day Kennewick demonstration!

Wow - an up-close and personal showing of your art pieces. Thank you so much, Eric. I know you did it for Neil and I was just fortunate to be visiting from Alaska but I truly enjoyed seeing every single piece of your work and hearing you talk about it all. Your passion is pure and your enthusiasm is contagious. I can't wait to see a demonstration and maybe even take one of your classes. You've really done some beautiful and unique work and your lovely art shows your love of what you do.
